Expedition Assessor Permit Scheme

The new Expedition Assessor Accreditation Scheme was launched in January 2008. All Expedition Assessors who attend the Scheme will become nationally accredited and will have national recognition and transferability.

The aim of the new scheme is to prepare, train and accredit Assessors to undertake expedition assessments to:

> Ensure a common understanding of the role of the Expedition Assessor.

> Ensure a more consistent interpretation of the conditions of the DofE and the Expedition section.

> Establish a positive and supportive approach to the assessment process.

The scheme is divided into 2 levels:
> Bronze / Silver Expedition Assessor

> Gold Expedition Assessor

Information about course dates can be found in the Training section.

The following "Road Map" explains the process within Scouting and is downloadable below:

Update Nov 2009 - the Intro to D of E course is no longer required to be a D of E Accredited assessor - only the e-induction.
