Getting Started with e-DofE
If anyone has financial difficulties, we will issue a free entrance pack. The leader just needs to enclose a letter with the application requesting it is provided free of charge.
3. Select the activities you wish to participate in from the lists available or the e-dofe system:
| Volunteering | helping someone, your community or the environment. If you are a young leader you will need to complete some leadership training. |
| Skill | developing existing talents or trying something new. |
| Physical | becoming fitter through sport, dance or physical activities. |
| Expedition | planning, training for and completing an adventurous journey. |
| Residential | staying and working away from home, as part of a team. |
4. Find someone to assess you in each activity and agree targets with them - the assessor must be:
> An adult 18+
> Not related to you
> Knowledgable about the activity
5. Participate for an average of an hour a week for the specified period (see Bronze, Silver or Gold pages for information).
6. As you go upload evidence to E D of E or get your assessor to sign your book at the end of your award. This can be uploaded to E D of E as well.
7. When all sections are completed, give your book to you Award Leader who will pass onto the County Adviser for approval. If using E D of E you will be able to submit for approval online.
You will then get your pin and uniform badge presented at your unit. Certificates for Bronze/Silver are presented at local D of E presentations and for Gold level at the Royal Palace.
