Funding for D of E Training
Gilwell will fund 50% of the course fee and travel for D of E training courses.
More info.Adult members wishing to attend DofE training courses can get funding towards the Introduction to D of E, Expedition Assessor (EAAS) and Train the Trainer. Details can be found on our training page.This funding covers 50% of any course fees and 50% of travel costs In return for this funding, applicants are required to carry out their role of a DofE Leader, Assessor or Trainer for a minimum of two years (appropriate to the course attended). Applications need to go to Gilwell Park and include receipts for travel costs (the fuel receipts do not need to be for the amount claimed in fuel as this will be worked out based on the mileage). Submissions without receipts cannot be paid. More info.
Funding for D of E for Young People (Download individual or group application form)
The DofE has received some funding from SERCO for assisting young people in accessing the DofE who would otherwise not be able to afford it. There are two bursaries available, one for groups and one individuals. Applications close at the end of March 2011.
